Dr. Steve is now 83 years old and only started doing ophthalmology at an older age. He saw the many visually impaired and blind people in Angola and decided it was time to do something about it! His mission is to help the visually impaired and blind, not only to give them back the light in their eyes, but also to point them to Jesus Christ who came to this earth for them too. In spite of his age he has exceptional energy and is very motivated to help wherever it is needed! Every month he flies with the MAF to a remote area to do consultations and operations for 2 weeks. He uses a surgical method that is only suitable for the real mature cataracts. He is always supported by his loyal assistant Alberto Cambale.
